In the year 1972, the Distillery Unit was established at the precincts of Sakthinagar Sugar Unit with a capacity to produce 9000 Kilo Litres of industrial alcohol per annum. The capacity of this Unit has been further increased to 27,500 Kilo Litres per annum in December 1992.
