receives the signal that gears need to be changed, the shifter opens or closes a magnetic valve assembly.
 This valve allows compressed air into the system, or pushes it out, in order to create the effect of shifting gears.
 If more compressed air is allowed in, then the gear is shifted up. If compressed air is let out, then the gear is shifted down.
 This compressed air can come from an on-board tank or from re-routed engine exhaust, depending on the particular design of the pneumatic shifter
BENIFITS

RESPONSE TIME CALCULATIONS
TWO RESERVOIR SYSTEMS

ASSUMPTIONS:
1. The air flow through the pipes is a isothermal process
2. Frictional losses are considered to be negligible.
3. The flow area is assumed to be a constant inside each valve.
4. Each valve is considered to be an orifice.
CALCULATIONS:
Let us take a simple two-reservoir system into consideration:
Orifice

In the above mentioned figure
P1 ---------- Initial Pressure
P2 ---------- Delivery Pressure
V1 ---------- Initial Reservoir Volume
V2 ---------- Delivery Reser..................[:=> Show Contents <=:]

d in 1960s. These muscles were actually made from pure rubber latex, covered by a double helical weave (braid) which would contract when expanded radially. This could actually be considered as a biorobotic actuator as it operates almost similar to a biological muscle.
Air Muscle Schematic- McKibben Model
The current form air muscles were developed by the Bridgestone Company, famous for its tires. The primary material was rubber i.e. the inner tube was made from rubber. Hence these actuators were called ?Rubbertuators?. These developments took place around 1980s.Later in 1990s Shadow Robotic ..................[:=> Show Contents <=:]

plitude (e.g. brightness) of the image at the real coordinate position (x,y).
An image may be considered to contain sub-images sometimes referred to as regions-of-interest, ROIs, or simply regions. This concept reflects the fact that images frequently contain collections of objects each of which can be the basis for a region. In a sophisticated image processing system it should be possible to apply specific image processing operations to selected regions. Thus one part of an image (region) might be processed to suppress motion blur while another part might be processed to improve color rendi..................[:=> Show Contents <=:]
