present a unied variational approach to image deblurring and impulse noise removal. The objective functional consists of a delity term and a regularizer. Data delity is quantied using the robust modied L1 norm, and elements from the Mumford-Shah functional are used for regularization. We show that the Mumford-Shah regularizer can be viewed as an extended line process. It re- ects spatial organization properties of the image edges, that do not appear in the common line process or anisotropic diusion. This allows to distinguish outliers from edges and leads to superior experimental results.

n of points is to take advantage of the randomness involved in selecting one of the two points, and

hence the combination of different in-phase and Quadrature-phase components from all the subcarriers would result in a sequence with

lower side lobes. Instead of the mapping shown, if points a1 and d2 or points a1 and c2 from the expanded constellation are associated with the original point a, a random selection would lead to selecting points which have the same sign over either the real component or the imaginary component. So, there might not be any difference in the sidelobe pattern ove..................[:=> Show Contents <=:]

ld. In this way, the unwanted variations resulting from changes in lighting, facial expression, and pose may be eliminated or reduced.
Theoretical analysis shows that PCA, LDA, and LPP can be obtained from different graph models. We compare the proposed Laplacianface approach with Eigenface and Fisherface methods on three different face data sets. Experimental results suggest that the proposed Laplacianface approach provides a better representation and achieves lower error rates in face recognition. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a statistical method under the broad title of factor ana..................[:=> Show Contents <=:]

3.3. From Theory to Practice
ALTHOUGH SCALE-FREE networks are pervasive, numerous prominent
exceptions exist.
For example, the highway system and power grid in the U.S. are not scale-free.
Neither are most networks seen in materials science.
In a crystal lattice, for instance, atoms have the same number of links to their
neighbors. With other networks, the data are inconclusive.
The relatively small size of food webs, which show predator-prey relationships,

directly. We have made a test signal generator (which can also generate synchronizing (abbreviated to sync hereafter) signals) mainly based on microprocessor Z-80. Taking the advantage of microprocessor programming, combining with the technique of microprocessor, digital circuits and analogue devices, we use software as far as possible to generate signals directly or to simplify the controlling circuits. Those signals, such as composite sync signal, blanking signal and a series of test signals are originally realized by a number of sequential circuits and logical gates. Now, this test signal g..................[:=> Show Contents <=:]
